Planning for Special Prayer Session for India

I am planning to call for a special prayer for India next Friday (Oct 3, 2008) evening, for our brothers and sisters who are suffering in persecutions, and also uplifting the relief efforts that is ongoing.

Heart4Japan Monthly Prayer Meeting will be from 12am to 7am on every first Saturday of the month. The special prayer will be conduct for an hour prior to our monthly prayer.

There will always be a corporate prayer by the church, and a slot will be set for Japan prior to our meeting on first Friday evening of the month in Elim Church. The time is from 9.30pm - 11.30pm.

I'll confirm with you the time again for the special prayer session for India when I have more information. Meanwhile, please keep India in prayers, keep this prayer meeting in prayers!

When One billion of Indians had never heard of the name of Jesus Christ in this lost land, there is also 128 million of Japanese who cut themselves, tending suicides, hiding in, not because of persecution, but the lost of meanings in life! When the Lord is remembering India, He had never lift His eyes off Japan, that is the reason for us, Heart4Japan troops to persist, and to remember our bodies in India the more!

PRAY! ACT! GO! DONATE!

Let's work till THE END

I had called for intercession for the Unreached nations, Japan, in particular, for the specific stir that He had put in my heart. I was unsure about many things, and I'm still unsure. Yet, there is one thing that I know, it is the love and trust that I have in my Lord. And it is this love that drew me to love Japan, one in His heart. Love became so strong, that Japan became a part of me, just as I'm in Jesus.

In response to all disasters that is striking the earth today, Myanmar, Sichuan, unpredictable movement of tropical cyclone, quakes, typhoon, flood, Tsunami...... causing speedy destruction, and we could only response one by one as they come.

There are destructions by man, too, if not more, equal. Human factors that had caused self-destruction or destroying others, a huge population. In Japan, people needs to be alleviate from the state of depressed. It is the time to either feed them with Good News or they will be fed by all other spiritual forces. (It's time to act, you can do something!)

As in other places, humanitarian aids and cry for social justice is needed to alleviate the situation.

This is the DAY that the nations are at our door step. Reaching out to the nation had been more practical and easier these days. Social justice and human rights of migrant workers had often been neglected in most countries.

The land that breed me and groomed me needs Jesus too. If the Lord had called you to Malaysia, please come. When you come, get in touch with people on the field. Be aware of the news, the needs of foreign and local ministries. The same thing that we should do for any nation that we are going to, be alert, have all the latest developments on your fingertips, move with the time, and train you sensitiveness with the Holy Spirit, so that you know what to do, how to pray, where to move.

Jessica sent me a note earlier, saying that she felt "God's urgency". Yes, there are NEEDS all around us.

Proverbs 30:15-16

 "The leech has two daughters.
       'Give! Give!' they cry.
"There are three things that are never satisfied,
       four that never say, 'Enough!':

  the grave,  the barren womb,
land, which is never satisfied with water,
and fire, which never says, 'Enough!'

How do we response then? Where should we go?

Let's quiet ourselves, seek Him, and learn His direction in our lives. Let's not settle in our comfort zone, let's not be complacent about what we see. Rise up, at least in your community! Reach out! We need to be sensitive and proactive to lift them out of the trash and ashes!

Move on earnestly, praising Him for the work that God had done and is doing. Move on fast! For the time is near.

I love you. Let's work and gather workers around us to work together to the Harvest! to the END TIME.

Mission Frontiers

I hope that you are already reading this, and I pray that you will read this if you have not.

"Missions Frontiers" presents very solid ideas on the direction of evangelical and missions movement providing firm evidence to each idea they claims. It opens our eyes on the area "unserved", "untapped", and moves us on to take role in the Kingdom movement.

PAIN

Lately, there is a constant fear that grips me. When it comes, I can't sleep, I can't rest, I can't think of any other thing else.

The fear of going back to Hong Kong.

The fear of not having raise financial support before I leave.

The fear of not having raise prayer partners before I leave.

The fear of having ministry partners who SPEAK more than they DO.

The fear of not having accomodation when I reach Hong Kong.

The fear of going to the academic to ask for deferment of school fees payment.

The fear of seeing my professor to negotiate on my dissertation of Hikikomori.

The fear of looking for accomodation.

The fear of not having money to pay the rent.

The fear of hunger.

The fear of loneliness.

The fear of not having money for transportation.

The fear of being long away from home.

The fear of not having enough data for the research of Hikikomori.

The fear of getting involve things beyond focus.

The fear of neglecting people who need a fresh touch of the Lord.

The fear of neglecting people who need a pair of listening ears.

The fear of meeting people who put false hope in me.

The fear of left behind bills to pay.

The fear of meeting hollow faith person in Heart4Japan.

The fear of blank promises.

The feeling is so contrast while compare with previous year as I stepped out with a simple faith. It was by faith that Abraham obyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. (Hebrews11:8) Now I begin to understand why He had always led me step by step. He never revealed His whole plan to me. It is always a step of faith that brought me closer, a step of obedience that brought me to the next door. I guess that is what it needs to be done. I remembered someone told me, if God would had revealed to you His whole plan, perhaps you will be so fearful that you wouldn't be able to step out for it.

and Yes, now I understand. Because I am going back to the same place, and because I had experienced sorrows and difficulties, and for worse I discovered my weaknesses and my unworthiness in times. Once I thought I had lost my faith. But now, I know, it is not about faith. I still trust that the Lord will provide all my needs. I still trust that the Lord will lead me through. I still trust that He will never leave me or forsake me. And He said, "Heart4Japan is MY ministry!" Yet, fears greet me.

Or to be exact, these are not fears, but PAIN......

I love the Lord. I don't want to miss the train of REVIVAL in Japan, yet I'm tired of being Zorro. I wish to move together with a team of people who love the Lord, who are committed, who are willing to serve. Walking together in this journey, encouraging each other, praying alongside for each other! There are so few......

George Verwer said, "Finance seems to be the greatest obstacle..... the real obstale is a lack of love, faith and biblical commitment." And that is piercing to my ears. The greatest needs in the missions field are always PEOPLE and FINANCE. We can have PEOPLE, but no FINANCE; or we can have FINANCE, but no PEOPLE; sometimes BOTH.

Yet, I had also learned. Disappointment in evangelism can often be God's appointment to teach us smething greater and something better. Great biblical, moutain-moving faith does not happen without doubts, struggles and discouragement or even sin. While I stand aginst the fiery dart of discouragement, I believe we all need to repent and turn from all that is hindering us from doing God's will in our day, repent from our unwillingness to pay the price!

Some Opinions in TDN

Bardakoğlu should speak up:

Head of the Directorate of Religious Affairs Ali Bardakoğlu has been giving very important messages. His words on the most recent Malatya events were marvelous:

“Of course, a member of a religion will buy, sell and distribute the holy book of his religion. We, let alone other religions, need to learn to respect the choice of even the atheists. Missionary work cannot constitute a threat for Turkey. It is necessary not to hike up the public tension by unnecessarily exaggerating these issues. We have been sympathetic to everyone's practicing his or her religion under the freedom of faith and religion. It is their basic right. People should freely live and convey their religion. The events in Malatya, the events all across the world have taught us once more that we should emphasize love for others more.”

However, the directorate's attitude is bizarre.

The head of the directorate speaks differently; the books published by the directorate say otherwise. The head of the directorate says, “They have the right,” while the book says how dangerous missionary work is.

If Bardakoğlu is truly sincere, he should have his words repeated. And if we really believe, we should take action together. For full article......

Battle of Mind

How do people view evangelists and missionaries? Persuasion against one's will, or forcing over an ideology on others?

Seldom there will be a non-believed critic that says, "Thank you so much for these people! They were the one who brought life to this land, to these people! They were the one who brought hope!"

Orhan Kemal Cengiz - Christians were beaten, their churches were stoned and were set on fire and they had been receiving threats everyday. Every single day there was news about the treacherous plans of missionaries in the local and national newspapers and on TV stations.

‘We are losing our religion,’ ‘Christianity spreads in Malatya’. That was the kind of atmosphere that had orchestrated the series of murders in Malatya. The escalated hatred had totally overlooked the truth fact that, Christian is a minority in Malatya. There were not more than 30 Christians in the city.

Dark forces, yes.

Yet, introducing Christianity to a close culture that take Christianity as a foreign substance meaning a new ideology.

Often when a new ideology is introduced, there will be a revolution. Quiet or strong, as waves that swing in the sea. Fear of lost often overcome excitement of gain. Spirit of opposition are often not about the content.

Persecutions do not only happen with Christianity. It happens when there is a conflict in ideology of old and modern. It will be too simplistic to conclude that as the war of good and evil, human mind given free will, is a battle that we need to fight.

1 Kings 18 - News Outside Japan

NEWS : Oct 09, 2006

Eruptions Displace Thousands in Indonesia
Haji Hasan, the chairman of one of the lost villages, has turned to a thoroughly unscientific approach to saving the region. He has offered a reward of 100 million rupiahs, or about €8,400 ($10,840), for anyone who can convince the spirits to make the mud stop flowing.

More than 100 magicians, shamans and witches have responded to his appeal, much to the chagrin of local imams. For weeks the collection of sorcerers cast their spells on the volcano. One was an elderly woman who presented herself to the mud as the "Queen of Bali" and ordered it to stop flowing immediately.

Haji Hasan's experts, as it turned out, were just as successful as the hordes of engineers and scientists who had traveled to the region -- in other words, not at all.

The news reminded me about Elijah and the prophets of Baal.

Until today, the erruption continues.

Even when we are praying for Japan, it doesn't mean that we loose our sense with the nations! Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Japan, Korea, we are all in the Western Pacific Region!

Guys, speed up! There are a lot of things that we can do in SEA! The land is crying out, for the mercy of the Lord! How can we be of assist in the work of the Lord? Let us encourage each other and get people to get their feet wet in the field!

PEOPLE NEEDS THE LORD!

We are ONE family

Korean, Chinese, Japanese. Don't we look alike? Check our history, culture, even the evidence in architecture! We are one family! Dr. Ozawa and Bro. Andrew were right, we need to come together, as one. The true revival does not happen individually, it takes all three to work together! Do not forget about North Korea too! The repentance is a key! To China, Japan is our Samaritan!

It's UNITY! If you have encouragement from being unite with Chrit, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Phil2:1-2. that all of them may be one, John 17:21 The same message to the church, is the very same message to us, we need to come as ONE! In fact, the very core message in prayers for Japan, is UNITY of workers in HIS field.

"Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. " John17:21

So many...... So huge a field!

Somehow, I'm amazed. Do you know how many out there need God in their lives? How many need an intervention by the Holy Spirit and His holy hand?

Does a huge number counts?

What is God crying out to us?

How much had we seen? How much had we heard? The blind, the deaf, the mental illness. Mongol, Tibet, Afghan, India, China, Japan, Nepal, Europe, Africa, America, the mountains, the valleys, the rivers, how many more had not heard of Gospel? A friend told me, he would never think of Europe when he thinks about missions. He said, they have plenty of opportunities to hear Christ, when others have none. Yes, Indonesia, Brunei, Asia, Russia, North Korea, many more!

In all these cries, I know only one thing. The field needs workers, the harvest needs workers! So many...... so huge a field! Are we catching hold of His word?
