It's is so very very clear! God is with you!...If it isn't the thing to do. I don't know.

I do just want to let you know that I am praying for you in whatever and wherever He is leading you. To strengthen your faith in Him and know that whatever you ask, the Father grants it to you as a gift to His son. I know it's hard when it looks so bleak, but you seem to know it's sight that you're maybe looking at more.

I listened to a Timothy Keller sermon recently from I believe his first year planting a church in NYC, and he made an interesting point on social causes and being heard.
A voice doesn't carry the weight with just knowledge and academia and theory. What gives you that right to be truly heard is when you have been an impact. It's that love that can be seen. When the city and the educators come to you because they have to ask. What is it? Why does the unconditional love work for these people? How are these outcasts able to have lasting change? A university position this early could be knowledge that puffs up without love. A flourishing blessed unconditionally loved community of truly transformed people may lead to a significant university position later. But I don't know myself, I'm just saying from what I 'see' in my reality removed from actually being there...

I'm stretching a bit much relating what I heard to this specifically, but I do just want you to know that you are being prayed for. You, my sister, are deeply loved by a Sovereign Shepherd. Trust Him wherever you are lead.Kimnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34325728.post-9526660209274771382012-06-20T19:10:39.341+09:002012-06-20T19:10:39.341+09:00Thank you for living a life worth investing in. :)...Thank you for living a life worth investing in. :)Justinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14348028638767097949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34325728.post-30892873903098353202012-06-12T02:18:56.484+09:002012-06-12T02:18:56.484+09:00Dear Justin, thank you so much for sharing this!!!...Dear Justin, thank you so much for sharing this!!! I think this i...Roseline, thanks for sharing this. I think this is something we need to be careful about, especially with Japanese. I definitely don't have the gift of evangelism. But, I found it is much better not to try and force Jesus into a conversation. When I am open about my faith but don't try to push it onto my Japanese friends, many of them will ask me questions about it. And it is okay to ask them what they believe and why. But as soon as I try to tell them that they need Jesus or tell them why they need Jesus, or that they have to give up their beliefs from other religions if they follow Jesus, they get defensive and don't want to talk about it any more. This isn't just me - I've observed my American friends pushing Japanese people too hard. There are definitely times when you need to share the gospel message directly, but most of the time, it is better to just live out the gospel message and build relationships with people, and God will give us the words to say when the time is right. On the other hand, sometimes I feel like I'm not saying enough, or that I avoid talking about Jesus or religion in general to avoid offending my friends. Sometimes people need to be challenged so it will make them think. Even if they might get angry for a short time, what you say might cause a positive change in them. So we need to find the right balance. But it is often difficult to find that balance - it is different for each person. All we can do is rely on God to guide our relationships instead of trying to do it ourselves. Anyway, this is a very good topic to discuss, so I just wanted to share a few of my thoughts.Justinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14348028638767097949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34325728.post-77726398157058952792011-11-25T16:28:59.908+09:002011-11-25T16:28:59.908+09:00Dear Rose,

We also worked on disaster relief in Ishinomaki!

I recognize the bus in your picture! Ours looked exactly like it! Could it be the bus from Hongodai Church in Yokohama? Maybe the buses are just the same make/model. Ours said, "Jesus Is Lord!" on the side of it. Those buses have really nice A/C and are really easy to clean the tsunami mud from!

I also recognize the AEON you guys were talking about. I think we ate there a few times on our way to the church we were lodging in (Miyagi Christ Church in Tohoku).

I was wondering if you know of the Smile Station Yokohama (I think that's what it was called) disaster-response base camp that was previously a pharmacy in Ishinomaki, since you guys worked in that area. If so, our team worked on that building before it was converted into a housing location for relief teams!

I also have a blog about our stay in Ishinomaki, if you're interested in the work that we did. I will never forget the hospitality and resilience of the wonderful people of Japan. The experience was life-changing for me. I wish I could go back right now, but God has me here in the states...at least until I graduate college.

I want to let you know, missionary to missionary, that what you're doing is SO crucial and SO important and SO awesome. May God continue to grow you and your team and to work in the lives of the people you're helping. :)

Take care! ~Ganbarou Nippon!~
BeckyBeckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14766237639462607357noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34325728.post-4651561206744626182011-07-20T20:42:47.624+09:002011-07-20T20:42:47.624+09:00It was wonderful to begin to get to know you.
